A great read for the summer! 🌞

Summary — Cassia Park, 39, works for her family’s magical matchmaking business that divines soulmates through past-life face reading. She has spent a decade searching for her “fated” match, Daniel Nam. However, on the eve of her 40th birthday, she falls for an impulsive, handsome younger man named Ellis — only to discover his boss is none other than Daniel Nam. She is forced to choose between destiny and chance.

I ended up really enjoying this one. It wasn’t a basic romance — it had depth, it was thoughtful, and it actually made me think about love while we were on vacation at the beach.

That’s the thing I keep coming back to with the romances I genuinely love: the premise can be light and fun and still ask a real question underneath. Here, that question is a good one. If you knew who you were “supposed” to end up with, would you still be free to choose someone else? Would you want to? A book that can wrap that up in a breezy, sun-on-your-shoulders package is doing more work than it gets credit for.

Would you choose the one your heart chose, or the one the universe picked for you? 💭

Have you read this one? Tell me where you’d land.
